Default Ichiba wheel spacers... disappointed with pics

Ichiba V1 spacers. I'm not very impressed with this product for my Lexus IS350. The spacer OD is 145mm while my wheel hub is 155mm causing an noticeable and unsightly recessed gap now where the rim meets the hub! This condition also decreases the surface contact area significantly, and would be hesitant to track the car like this. Also the wheel stud holes on the spacer are 15mm while the studs are 10mm and makes for a sloppy fit.

Installing the new longer studs in was a bear so no going back now! I spoke with Ichiba and sent pics to them, awaiting reply. I find it hard to believe no other Lexus owner has made the same complaint to them. I told them they look hokey or amateurish and may be ok for a hopped up Corolla or something but not on a $50k Lexus! I'm peeved!

are you telling me the V2 spacers sit flush with your stock wheel and hub? If so I will try and get IchibaUSA to do something to make this right. I wanted to go with the V1 because I didn't want the extra unsprung weight and only wanted to go 10mm on all fours!

I recommend Project Kics over Ichibas for weight saving and quality.

Default spacers

That looks like the wrong spacer. I'm going to take a closer look at mine and compare! Good luck!

That's because most guys who run spacers are already using them as bandaids so they've already accepted the fact that it's not going to look as perfect.

Ichiba makes spacers for the mass consumer so if the bolt pattern fits a Camry, they're going to crank out a bunch of the same design. It doesn't make sense for them to make spacers specifically for the 2IS.

While it does look ugly, the slightly smaller diameter shouldn't really affect safety.

I wouldn't call it unsafe but it looks kind of cheap...... although I highly doubt anyone would notice it on a day to day basis.

GS and JB, I agree on all accounts... this is one of those things that just bug me! I installed these things solely for the look and the way they fit kinda defeats that purpose. Sure jb most people wouldn't even notice it but I will!

Thanks for your thoughts.

ps: not yet heard back from IchibaUSA on this. I am currently looking around for a more suitable spacer but none of the suppliers are posting specs with OD measurements. Will keep the board posted on this.

I completely agree, i'm super meticulous when it comes to my car too so I completely understand. I have very small dent on the bottom of my front fender and its barely noticeable at all but it drives me nuts every time i wash it.

I have the same issue with my ichiba V1. but oh wells, it doesn't look too bad on mine since my wheels aren't black. No ones going to notice it any way.
