Anyone have a custom console arm rest?
So if my lease transfer ends up failing, or my dream corvette gets sold from under me... I'm switching my lease to a buyout and will continue to enjoy my 2IS.
Many C6 vette guys get their center console arm rest re-done with one or two tone leather, as their stock arm rest is not very comfortable. Yes, ours is leather, but I dont find mine as comfortable as it could be, or maybe i just have boney elbows . But regardless, this is something i was thinking of re-doing if i keep my 2IS.
Does anyone out there have a re-finished center console arm rest?
Here's a few examples of the aftermarket vette ones. The company that does theirs can fully customize them to whatever you want, including stitching color, putting logos or "ridges" to match the ridges in the seats. Pretty cool. I'd want mine to be black with some white leather, not sure on pattern/design, and possibly the circle L lexus logo somewhere on it.

Mine is sort of uncomfortable also, the thing sponge material in one spot where I rest my elbow has worn down. Now its just hard. Let us know how it turns out, sounds pretty cool, and roughly how much does this cost?

For a Corvette at least, it runs $290 with two tone leather + logo. They have special and corvette forum pricing around $100 sometimes (last i saw). Either way, I'd like to see it done and will likely give them a try before or right after Christmas, I can spare $300 to get a more comfortable and one-off arm rest . Will definitely post back.

The closest thing I've seen to a modded armrest is carbon fiber for the release latch that's normally matte black. I know what you guys are talking about, the OEM padding is pretty inadequate.

some guy in vancouver stitched an autobot emblem onto his yellow chevy camaro. gives you a good chuckle.
at most for our cars, i would change the stitching into blue. but then i'd just buy the is-f interior.

I am going to have dsvettes.com do mine when i get a chance. They are very reputable throughout the corvette community and have experience working with luxury cars as well.
