Car Wont start?? In need of some help
Hey guys, maybe someone here can help me out. My day started when I ran over a piece of metal. Ended up with a flat, my father proceeded to help me change the flat but some how he strip the key lug. Needless to say we had to get a tow truck to come tow it back home. That's only the beginning of my problems. Now for some reason I am unable to start the car. The push button lights up green but when I go to depress and push start. The car does not turn on, it didnt even crank over. The battery is good and I dont think I have a fuse problem seeing how an hour ago I was driving it. I did however notice the guy towing the vehicle saying how he needed to disengage the steering lock to guide the car onto the bed. He push the start button twice while moving the steering wheel. I guess that disengage the steering wheel lock and he was then able to guide it onto the bed. I have read up on the manual and have tried moving the steering wheel back and forth while starting it with no result. Also the shifter is set to P and Im unable to move in anywhere. I failed to mention that absolutely nothing lights up on the dash, and the horn doesnt work. Does anyone have any clue as to what I should be doing to get it to start.

I tried that a couple of times. I would get in and lights under the dashboard where your feet are lights up. As soon as i depress the pedals and push the start button everything turns offs and we are back to square one.

How do you know your battery is good? I think the ignition was left on for an extended time and the battery went flat. It has just enough juice to light some of the circuits but not enough to turn the engine over. Try jumping the car, if that works your problem is the battery.

This is a long shot but...
With the tow guy messing around with the start button, turning wheels and all that, did he have the fob? Was the alarm confused and did it shut down the car?

the tow driver has something to do with it, did he turn off the car, hitting the ign button again after he secure the car or did he leave it on hence a dead battery. And did you ensure your connections with the jumper cables were sound? good luck mate.

Ok well first to move your car there is a black little square thing above the P, pop that out and push the black button under it down, this will allow you to shift the car to neutral without turning the car on. I suggest first resetting the ECU, unplug the battery for about an hour and hook it back up.
