Default Best Way to Buy F-Sport Exhaust?

Any thoughts on the best way to go about buying an f-sport exhaust system for a 2011 is350? Should I just try to talk down the msrp and install it at home? or should I have the shop do it? or even a third party shop?

I'm not a guru when it comes to cars, but i've replaced my fair share of starters, brakes, and valve height adjustments.

oh, i'll be buying the car at the same time. if that makes a difference

Man, Sewell was just having a HUGE sale on everything including the F-Sport Exhaust, it was crazy like 300-500 off MSRP! Im not sure they still have it going on. Check into it!

It's only an axle-back, you can do it yourself with a pair of ramps and 2 wrenches in like 15 minutes.

If you pay full retail (which you shouldn't, even Sewells "normal" price is likely cheaper than your dealer) you can probably get free install since you're buying the car...but then you probably won't get to keep the stock exhaust.

Personally I'd buy it cheaper from Sewell (or used if someone is upgrading, not like pipes really go bad), install myself, then when time came to sell the car I'd put the stock exhaust back on and sell the aftermarket one by itself.

(and in fact that's exactly what I did for my Tanabe exhaust- bought used for half price in perfect shape, installed at home, keep the stocker in the garage to swap back when I sell the car)

If you can replace a starter, two bolts and a few hangers shouldn't be a problem.

As for aquiring them, check out car-part.com I've seen a few listed super cheap because people don't know what they have. I got mine for free because of that.
