but how long does the plastic dip stuff last? Someone mentioned they cannot even take a power-wash. Powdercoating aroudn here in colorado is about 100 bucks a wheel, but the prob is i need the car to get to work....groan....
I am thinking about duplicolor with some really good prep--when they start to peel, I can always redo, or get them powerdone.

Go with Powder-Coating if you can, its durable and looks great! I have also seen many DIY painted Rims, and if you prep correctly they will look great too. As for Plasti-Dip, they look good , at first, but they are hard to clean. Plasti-Dip was easy to remove but, did take some time. I just removed the Plasti-Dip and have decided to paint them myself, it make it easy to see what they would look like Matte Black though, got a lot of compliments on them.
If you decide to Plasti-Dip, then I would clearcoat them afterward to help keep them cleaner, and make them easier to wash.
