Default East - West Coast Shipping??

Any idea for cheap shipping of a car to the west coast from Wash DC area?? Trucks are btween 780 - $1000 range. I was wondering rail road transportation.
Any ideas?

No matter what, do not use dependable auto shippers (DAS) they put about $2k damage on my car and refused to pay for it until i got a lawyer involved.

Thanks for the input! Unfortunately I never found a person that has shipped their cars without damages. It seems to also take over a month to get it to CA from MD and the insurance they provide kinda sux as well. DAS has some crazy reviews online but they have also been in the business for a very long time.
I might just drive through .... 4-5 days ......

yeah
take some time and go on a roadtrip
it's enjoyable just to have this experience
besides, people rarely have the chances to really drive across the states

I wish I had an excuse to drive across the country. Not only that, it seems like it is more of an inconvenience to ship it then drive it yourself.
