I have a 2007 IS350 with 20000 kilometers (12000 miles) on it and have a brake noise problem that is difficult to diagnose and would like some help. Here are the symptoms:

Stop car, put emergency brake on, on step out, as weight is released from car, there is a metalic clack sound from rear brakes.

Park car, emergency brake on, rotate/rock rear wheel back and forth by grasping tire results in same but louder more pronounced noise. Release emergency brake and repeat tire rotation results in same noise but not as loud or prolonged.

Park car on steep incline, front high, emergency brake on, foot on brake, open door, listen, take foot off brake, car rolls back a few inches results in same noise with longer duration.

Dealer serviced brakes (calipers, pads and inspected rotors) condition still exists.

Would appreciate any thoughts re cause and solution. Taking it back to the dealer next week.Thanks.
