Default I got a new set of tires coming in a couple days.

I just ordered a new set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 for my ride from discont tires.com. I order the TPMS repair kit, road hazard plan, and a whole set of tires for $653.50. I can't wait to have them put on at my local Toyota dealership for $29.99. I am also going to get an alignment to determine if my vehicle will straighten out a little better on certain roads.

oh by the way,
I am thinking about filling up my new tires with nitrogen. Has anyone used nitrogen before, and is it a good idea to use it?

I would definetly NOT fill them with Nitrogen, thats just asking for a puncture and explosion.

Nitrogen is inert...thus no boom boom!

Nitrogen molecules are bigger than air molecules so tire pressure does not bleed off or vary as much as air. I bought some tires for a pickup I don't drive much. I used nitrogen...despite not driving much...the air pressure stays very even over long periods of time

If you fill up your tires with nitrogen, you won't need to refill them for a very long time.

You guys realize normal air is almost 80% nitrogen already, right?

Pure (or nearly pure) nitrogen does leak more slowly, but it's a really really small difference. Like 1-2 psi over a whole year difference.

So it's nice if you can get it for free, but certainly not worth paying for in a normally driven street car.

nitrogen is the way to go. you end up filling your tires less often!

Nitrogen is nice to get. For comparison when driving, you will not feel a difference on the road.

Not sure about the installation but that is a great question. The price was already great and I still get the $60 rebate from Hankook. So my actual cost is around $593.

As long as the nitrogen doesn't interact with my tires in an negative way... I will not be worried. I like to burn out every now and then.

You'll end up filling your tires about 1.5 psi less often over an entire year. As I said, nice if you get it free, not even remotely worth paying for.

lol the information in this thread is funny, specially the aspect about nitrogen blowing up.

Nitrogen is the best for tracking, the gas has a lower tendency to expand and contract under temperature change so your overall PSI is more predictable.

idk about that one. atleast for me. with normal air the tpms light used to go off and i had to check and add more air around once a month. but with nitrogen i havent touched the tires for a good 3-4 months and still no tmps light. nevertheless, you are right. its worth it if its free.
