Default Transporting 4 rims + 4 tires in 2IS?

My rims should be arriving any day now and hopefully installed this weekend. So how will I actually get them to the shop to get them mounted?? Will 4 19'' wheels and tires fit inside the IS??

I'm thinking..
2 wheels in the passenger
4 tires in the back
2 wheels in the trunk

Will that work?

I'm surprised this question hasn't been asked before!!

highly doubt two wheels will fit in the trunk. i never could do more than one. 4 tires should work for the back seat but it owuld be a very tight squeeze. 2 in the passenger seat would also work. Maybe scoot the passenger seat all the way back and try fitting the last wheel on the floor on the passengers seat.

borrow someones car that is bigger like an suv or make 2 trips. i highly doubt all that will fit in the IS. I had a hard enough time transporting (4) 20s and (4) tires

Good luck with that! I wouldnt do that unless you wanna take the chance of ruining something in your car. You should of had them shipped to the car place that was gonna put them on.

EDIT: Just saw you have them all seperate (tires/rims)... good luck, wont happen haha. Sorry!

I've done it!!! (with mounted tires/rims)

I drove to Louisiana to pick up the rims for my car from a CL member since i was out there for work, decided to try it and if it didnt work, I'd ship them.

I put one rear wheel in the trunk, two wheels in the back seat, and one on the front seat.

Only "damage" done was impressions in the seats but they went away after a couple hours, cant even tell. Worst part was the car smelt like tires for a few days haha.

Just bring tons of old blankets to cover up the interior first, you'll be fine!

With mine it was 1 in the trunk, 2 in the back seat and 1 in the passenger seat. But that was just the wheels. I doubt you'll be able to fit 4 more tires. Why not just do 2 trips?

I suggest two trips as well or 2 cars. They can be mounting your wheels on the tires while you drive back and forth. Good luck! Oh yeah, let's see pics after!

Ill be optomistic here.... put a blanket on the roof and secure the tires on the roof! Lol I don't think its gonna work other wise.... I barely fit the rims with tires mounted don't think there is any room for tires not mounted.... maybe have someone follow you with second shipment??? Orrrr if its not to late call the shipper and see if they can change delivery address to where ur gonna get em installed? I've done it with packages for work in the past.

I've done it too
I put two rims in the trunk and everything in the back seat, the only bad thing is that I can't see thru the rear view mirror lol
Couldn't put in the front passenger cuz my girlfriend is sitting there lol

I fit 4 mounted 19s in the backseat alone of my car. With 8 separate pieces I think it will be impossible. Just ask a friend with a pickup to help you out.

Put two rims in the trunk, one rim behind the passenger seat(seat pushed forward) one rim in the passenger seat itself an throw the tires in the back, should be good to go... just cover your interior like others have stated.

Good luck lol

I managed to only fit 4 rims in the back seats. Good thing I used my stock tires cuz I had no room in the trunk since I got a sub in there

Man it's gonna be a tight squeeze! IF it does even fit, I'm afraid of messing up the leather interior.
This will be interesting. It's like a rubicks cube
