I think it's worth it. Piece mailing together aftermarket parts never goes 100% as planned. Some things just don't fit right or installation is questionable. From the factory, it's all been tested out, done professionally, and the warranty remains. You also gain better resale, as customized cars often take a hit when it comes time to sell.

I think is well worth $2440, hands down! the f-sport package is basically a sport package from the pre-2011's model with much more adds on.
I think you mean it's like the pre-2011 sport package with much less add ons.

You lose the memory seats, auto-tilt and dim side mirrors, power tilt/tele steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, HIDs, and vented seats... all of which you used to get in the similarly priced sport package.

The F-sport package is more like the X-package without the special wheels but with some other cosmetic items and for 2.5 times more money.

I would suspect the suspension on it is the same as the X/sport package one though rather than the F-sport parts... but presumably someone with parts catalog access can clear this up?

They dropped the actual sport package entirely for 2011 which is another in the long list of reasons I feel that apart from the aux jack relocation in 2009 and the nav system update in 2010 Lexus has made the 2IS less appealing to me with nearly every single change after initial 2008 models

(I can't even say "every change since the 2009 models" since I dislike the switch from cashmere to black carpet in the mid-year 08 models)

That bodes poorly for the 3IS IMHO, at least as far as me liking it.... folks who've preferred the changes in recent years will probably love it though

its like 37k for a 2011 f sport is250. You can get an ISF with 25k miles for that price. I'd go with the ISF personally

Some people just want a new car and not a used car. And some people don't mind buying a used car....

But if I were to buy a new Lexus, I would get the Fsport version, looks better with the front lip and other extras

I like the visual styling cues of the Fsport. Im rather partial to the obsidian. After test driving a standard IS250 with lux package and purchasing the Fsport, I'm in love with the sport seats. The lux seats in the standard just don't provide the same support.

The best is to get the IS350 Nav,premium pack. All the extra you can save money and buy them later!

You can't really add most of the stuff in the luxury pack (which also used to be in the old, better, sports pack) after the fact easily. Memory seats, auto-dim side mirrors, power tilt/tele steering, rain-sensing wipers, OEM HIDs, etc... at least not for anything resembling a sane cost.

to OP, why getting that package on a 250, the money you pay for the 2011 IS250 f-sport you can get a non-f-sport IS350. that's what i would do.
