anyone got a answer to my question for the recall situation if i had it done a few months back what is the process. The 100,000 miles they gave to me is for power-train correct? Will i be able to get the $500 gift card?

Eh... you can try calling them after you buy the warranty and saying something like "I heard online that if you already have an extended warranty you could get a $500 gift card rather than the 100k warranty and I'd like to do that" and hope they don't notice you JUST bought the warranty.


I bought my warranty after I got my documents for the 100k extension, but I still haven't had the actual recall done (it appears they sent the 100k thing to anyone who QUALIFIED for the recall, regardless of having had it done yet or not)... and I was able to call em up and get the gift card after they checked the records and saw I had an extended warranty.

Just got of the phone with Lexus. Only certain areas in the US will get the gift card. If you reside in FL you will only get a voucher, regardless if you have extended warranty.

Based on all current reports that's not quite right.


You get the card in FL INSTEAD of the 100k warranty extension, regardless of your other warranty status.

Everywhere else in the US you get the 100k extension unless you already have an extended warranty- in which case you get the card.
