well i thought it was just the bulb but to be sure i switched bulbs from the side that wasnt working to the side that is working and the bulb was fine it lit up no problem so my next solution was that the ballast was gone.

have same problem, but I can't remove ballast plug from the headlight. ( ballast is under headlight, and the wire with the plug is inside the headlight )
Anyone know how to remove plug?

Damn. My passenger headlight went out and i did the same test. I swapped the bulbs. Im in search of a ballast now, but i called the 1 and only local lexus here and he said you cant buy it seperate? Does someone have a part #?
I even thought about gettin an aftermarket hid kit.

I had the same issue a couple of months ago. Dealer stated the ballast is inside the housing and they had to replace the entire headlight assembly. The cost with labor was around $1200. Luckily it was covered under warranty. I know I have seen headlight assmblies on Ebay for a couple of hundred.....
You could always buy a seperate ballast, mount it somewhere close to the headlight and just connect your OEM bulb to it.

is it a little gray plastic piece stopping it? When i did my ballast for my GS i had the same problem where the end of the ballast that plugs into the bulb would not come out. Theres a little plastic lever that you need a "special" tool to use. an allen key works fine though
