Default Help!!! Battery DIED!!!!!

I've tried changing the battery which I've done on plenty of cars, but our cars are different. They have a plastic sleeve around it that has to be removed in order to slip the battery out. Sounds simple, but its not, the sleeve is attached to wires that are on the positive terminal/ wires, and it doesn't seem possible with out breaking something. I tried taking pictures but its too dark. If you can don't know what I'm talking about, if you would please check your car and see if you can help a brother out.

I did a search in the 2IS and maintenance forums but couldn't find any DIY's. If i missed any please post link.

Thanks in ADVANCE!!

there's 2 clips on the right side which have to be pried open. they clip in the center and open outwards. i used a small screwdriver and they wedged open. once you pry it open, you can move the wiring out the way.

I just did this last week and got that harness off in under 7 seconds. It's really not a big deal, lol. Just look at it

I bought the panasonic "lexus" battery. Those clips are tough to pop, very little room to get your hand in there. Thanks for the help!

Default Replace Car Battery

Anyone know how to remove the original battery? I removed the nut holding the tie-down bar and I removed both terminal clamps. How does one remove the cover that sits on the battery? The two cables going to the positive terminal are attached to the cover.

As everyone else has stated just gotta put some force into popping the clips free. Just did this not too long ago an it wasnt all that bad, but i did lose my patience more than once while installing it hah.
