Default Immediate help needed! Window tint problem!

Hey guys I have a guy tinting my windows as we speak and he ran into a problem. He somehow does not know what to do with the front windows due to the speaker that is right against the front window. I remember seeing a thread that had something to do with tinting problems but can't seem to find it. I need help ASAP pleaase! Thanks

You need to remove the door panel, and then the tweeter. That's the only way to do it right.

We decided on waiting until next week for the front two windows due to it getting dark outside and not being completely educated on how to take off the panels. Thanks for the info though

Tell him he needs better tools and skills. When I had mine done nothing was removed and it looks better than most tinted IS's I've seen.

Same here nothing was removed from my car when my windows were tinted. My tint guy did have to do the passengers side front door twice, but hey they got the job done.

Agreed. Mine was not removed. The guy who did mine had a long triangular shaped flat wedge he used to get all the way under/behind the speaker.

Door panel does NOT have to be removed in order to do a good tint job. My IS is over 4 years old and no issues with the original tint that was done with the door panel in place. You are asking for problems in removing the panel unless you know what you are doing. Your call.

My tint guy was about 21-24 years old and got around both front windows perfectly. Tell your tint guy step his game up lol.
