[QUOTE=rebs;7293775]I think the difference is most of the things you mention aren't aesthetic changes and there are hundreds of different ways Lexus could implement daytime running LED's. In my mind, it's almost (but not quite) like taking the Audi grill and putting it on a Lexus.
Don't get me wrong, I actually like the new headlights, but I totally understand why some people don't...and part of me wishes Lexus would have implemented a little something more original (and definitely kept the AFS).[/QUOTE
Finally someone who understands where I'm coming from, and to those concerned NO I don't hate Audi I happen to think they innovate some pretty awesome machines, I wanted a brand new V8 sports sedan but the RS4, M3 and C63 weren't as affordable brand new that left the IS-F. If I had the means financially I'd have the M3, C63, RS4, and R8 in the garage right alongside my IS-F.

I agree 110% or Lexus could have taken a different approach to the daytime LED styling and placement. Whats funny is that VW being a company of Audi took a different approach to the placement of their daytime LED lights. And if they wanted to copy it exactly kinda the way Lexus did, VW could of with no problem.
Look at that.
Look at that.

I agree the pic from OP looks cheap - Ever since BMW made a statement with their headlight rings, every other manufacturer is hurrying to do something similar..I.E. AUDI, Mercedes, Land Rover, Porsche, now Lexus - even Bugatti's latest Veyron is wearing something similar.
I do like how BMW is using CELIS Technology in most models now, which other manufacturers are starting to copy now! Scope out most of the new tail lights from BMW, but they started this back in '03 with the 5 series.

I think thats the one then they put it on the 5 series. Got to admit It is very cool looking though.

This is how they look when they are off. They are amazingly bright and it's hard to get a good pic while they are on. But I'll get some soon.
Unless your looking for it, you can't much see them.

That's why I had the dealer unplug mine. For me they were way too "immitation" Audi, and I don't particularly like getting laughed at. So yeah Im just more comfortable having them off. I can compensate with the mods I have on now.

You would have been better off just leaving them alone and waiting for a cheaper pair of 2011 lights to come out.
