[QUOTE=rebs;7293775]I think the difference is most of the things you mention aren't aesthetic changes and there are hundreds of different ways Lexus could implement daytime running LED's. In my mind, it's almost (but not quite) like taking the Audi grill and putting it on a Lexus.

Don't get me wrong, I actually like the new headlights, but I totally understand why some people don't...and part of me wishes Lexus would have implemented a little something more original (and definitely kept the AFS).[/QUOTE

Finally someone who understands where I'm coming from, and to those concerned NO I don't hate Audi I happen to think they innovate some pretty awesome machines, I wanted a brand new V8 sports sedan but the RS4, M3 and C63 weren't as affordable brand new that left the IS-F. If I had the means financially I'd have the M3, C63, RS4, and R8 in the garage right alongside my IS-F.

I agree 110% or Lexus could have taken a different approach to the daytime LED styling and placement. Whats funny is that VW being a company of Audi took a different approach to the placement of their daytime LED lights. And if they wanted to copy it exactly kinda the way Lexus did, VW could of with no problem.

Look at that.

I do like how BMW is using CELIS Technology in most models now, which other manufacturers are starting to copy now! Scope out most of the new tail lights from BMW, but they started this back in '03 with the 5 series.
I thought BMW put it in the that Z8 roadster, I believe they came out in 2001 ( NOT THE Z4 I'M TALKING ABOUT THE ONE THAT STILL EVEN IN 2012 IT"S GOING FOR ABOUT $120,000)
I think thats the one then they put it on the 5 series. Got to admit It is very cool looking though.

This is how they look when they are off. They are amazingly bright and it's hard to get a good pic while they are on. But I'll get some soon.

Unless your looking for it, you can't much see them.

Not on my car!! Sorry man, i dont think this kind of work should be on these cars... you could at least paint the headlight housing black and put them inside so your statement about not seeing them would be more true...

That's why I had the dealer unplug mine. For me they were way too "immitation" Audi, and I don't particularly like getting laughed at. So yeah Im just more comfortable having them off. I can compensate with the mods I have on now.

I plan to tint the headlight not open the headlight up. Don't wanna worry about moisture inside the headlight. I'm ok with it for now. Just like the LED look.

I normally don't rain on anyones parade but this should be unexceptable and a crime to do to any Lexus including a ES300 lol. I know its you car and all but when you step back and look at the car you can't possibly be thinking these lights look hella awesome

You would have been better off just leaving them alone and waiting for a cheaper pair of 2011 lights to come out.

No bueno dude

I did something similar before Lexus came out with the LEDs in the headlights. I thought it was cool for a good 5 minutes and then wondered why I ever did such a thing.

I'm sorry but that looks absolutely cheap and terrible. You couldn't at least bake the headlights to open it and put them inside? Please take those off immediately. I honestly thought this was a joke for a second. New rims and a drop will help too
