Default Steering Wheel leather cracking

Hi,

I just noticed today that the leather at the bottom of the steering wheel is cracking. I have a 2009 IS250AWD, and I am wondering if this is covered under warranty. Should I just bring it to the dealership and let them deal with it? If not then what should I do? Please help.

Thanks,

Matt

Ya it really helps keep the leather moist so it can't dry out and crack.

Just make sure to get a good product that wont make the leather all shiny.

I use Wolfgang products on my cars, and love them!! Their leather conditioner keeps all leather (including seats, inner doors, and armrest) real nice. And it has a real nice mild leather smell.

I use Meguires (or however it's spelled). I've been really happy with it. You can get a bottle or a container of wipes($8 for 25). I keep a container of wipes in the trunk...no complaints, yet anyhow

I called the dealer today and they told me to drive there and let them inspect it first to see if it is covered under warranty. I don't see how this could be not covered as my car is a 2009. What should I do if they are to make up some excuse? This should no doubt be fixed by the dealer right?
