I went to f-sport.com (which is just lexus.com btw) and choose the contact us tab at the top of the screen. You are given the ability to do mail, email, instant chat, and phone.

I did instant chat. The lexus rep was very nice too.

well it does. Come over, drive my car

by the way, my 08g35s...that one produces a jolt when downshifting...not very good rev matching from infiniti.

you again?? trust me what your seeing is not rev matching. You seriously just need to stay off any car forum and try not to drive any car anymore.

Your IS250 is not rev matching

I just chatted with a guy and we went back and forth a good bit. FWIW, he said that suggestions are kept with over the phone and not on chat.

No problems.
Can you come pick me up and drop me everyday to and from work? Of course you will not be paid for it.

And yes. you need to do extra duty on weekends when I shopping around town. Again, you will have to wait in the car for me to come back.

That lying bia!!

What did you guys talk about? did you tell them to give us an ecu upgrade for rev matching?

And Chikoo....for the last time, you dont have rev matching. I'm not quite certain you know what rev matching is becaues the IS250/350 DOES NOT HAVE IT.

Your g35s did however, and if you couldnt recognize it in that application, I'm certainly not going to take your advice on this subject here.

NO IT WONT!! my goodness, the ignorance is stunning. Listen, the reason you "think" its rev matching is because it's being forced into a lower gear while going relatively the same speed. Consequently, the engine rpms will HAVE to increase to accomodate the new gear.

Rev matching means that the throttle is actually blipped (by the computer) during the shift so that the new gear falls precisely into where the engine rpm is at.

You can find a good example if you'll look up heel toe shifting. Here are some benefits to rev matching (aka throttle blipping).

* Reduces stress on the driveline
* Prevents forward weight transfers when down shifting
* Reduces the chances of wheel lock in extreme cases
* Allows rapid, smooth down changes before entering a corner

Now, the more you say your is250 has this feature while NOBODY else in the world does, makes you look less and less knowledgeable. So please, just do some research and come back informed.

No need to huh me, I said you can rev match by hitting the gas with your foot prior to car changing gears (the same way you rev match a manual car). I'm aware it's not stick shift.

you do know there is rev matching in other AT vehicles right? For instance the IS-F and the g37, just to name two.
