Default Went to the dealership for rattling on dashboard..

Hey guys,

I noticed rattling on the dashboard in the morning when I drive to school. So, I went to the dealership and tell them about the problem. After inspecting the rattling, they said its coming from the mechanical fuel pump and is normal. Is this true? the rattling is quite annoying...

and... the rattling happens when I stop at a traffic light in "D", but it goes away when its in neutral. any inputs?

No, do not let them walk all over you. There is a TSIB for this.....bring it back and tell them to fix it! Be strong when u are in there man.

I think a lot of it depends on the dealer, mine did it no questions asked, took them about 5 minutes to replicate the problem, gave me a loaner and took care if it.

Try a different dealer or come back another day and speak to a different SA. Sometimes it's really just luck of the draw.

Hey I had the same issue last month, they booked me in with no trouble at all and gave me a courtesy car as well.

So what's the TSB? I've also noticed a rattle when idling in gear(D). I think it also dependents on whether I have my A/C on or off.
