Unhappy Horrible wait at Sears for my IS350

I took my car to Sears for tire mounting and balancing. Took them 4 hours. front 225/40/18 and Rear 235/45/18. I paid for $108 with lifetime balancing. The wait was crazy and the people were decent.

Any of you dealt with Sears? Problem?

Never had them do any work. Why did it take so long?

This time of year everybody is swamped. I'd purchase lifetime balance from a true tire only store though.

Lexus is likely $25.00 per tire EVERY time.

I should have check Lexus first. I checked everywhere and they told me it anywhere from 120 - 130. Sears cost $108 and been informed that when I bring my summer tires back, they will only charge me $40 to put it on and when the next winter comes, another $40 to put it back on.

I was not the only one waited this long.........horrible.......I guess I will go to Lexus in the future then...............

I have my dealer do all the work on my aftermarket rims with different widths. They do a real good job, no nicks no damages.

I like my dealer to do the job because if something goes wrong, you can always call corporate.

I've dealt with Sears with my Odyssey. Kinda a long wait, but I just left it. If I had stock wheels on my Lexus maybe, but not my rims.

The last time I went to Sears for auto service, they paid to have all four wheels polished and repainted. They scratched all four wheels on my '88 GTS Corolla. That gives you some idea how long its been.

Sears is also a huge company so if they mess anything up you don't have to worry.

This has to be it. This time of year, most retail places and services are swamped. Bad weather also adds to it. Did it seem crowded?

^ I don't know about that. Check your regional forum for the most reputed tire places in your area. I would never trust a national chain like Sears to touch anything in or on my car.
