My GF was getting out of my car over summer and a gust of wind caught the door and blew it wide open breaking something near the hinge of the door. I am assuming it's that plastic black piece that connects the door to the car, does anybody have any experience with this?

When I open the door you can hear a click when it gets to a certain point.

Thanks in advance for the help. I can figure out the name of the black piece in the door for the life of me.

Replace check assy. Same happened to me.
