Hi all,

I'm new to this site, I just purchased a 2007 IS250 2 months ago and I'm really happy with it. I just have a quick question about the Navigation, I just noticed last night when I entered a destination that it's not announcing what street to turn to anymore. When I first got it, it wasn't like that. Now it's just telling me to make a right or left. I've been searching for hours and I even looked at the manual but I couldn't find an answer so I figured maybe you guys could help me here. Is there a setting where I could activate the navi to tell me what street to turn to? Any help will be appreciated.

wow it does tell u the street name? do u have aftermarket navi...coz i have an 07 250 i cant recall telling the street, however it shows on the screen...hmmmm..

It's the factory navigation. So they're not supposed to tell us the street names? I could've sworn it did the first time I tried it or maybe I'm wrong. My 2007 Honda CR-V with navigation does it. Man this sucks....now I feel like I downgraded.

As far as navigation yes it is a downgrade, I didn't say the HONDA is better than the LEXUS overall. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Unless you have a 2010 or 2011 (I can't remember if it started in 2010 or 2011) with the newer hard drive based navigation it won't announce the street names.

No text to speech function on older year models. You are better off without it because sometime the sound of computer trying to say the name is much worse than saying right or left correctly. Try to decipher "Turn left at $%^&&* street".
