Default Dealer quoted me for install on F Sport Springs

So my dealer told me that they will charge me $530 (4 hours of labor and an alignment) for the F Sport Springs. Anybody get a similar price or can give me some feedback for a better price?

My dealer will also match Sewell's pricing so they will sell me the springs for $230.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Is that springs, install, and alignment?

seems like $530 is the price w/o the springs. its a little high but its also from the dealer. an independent shop would charge probably around $350-$400 with alignment (at least around my way).

My dealer quoted me $1100 for Fsport springs + install. I literally laughed in their face. I got the springs from Sewell and had them installed at a local shop for $200. A few months later, I took it to the dealer to install the updated Fsport TSIB springs at no charge.

$530 for labor and alignment is a bit high, but expected at dealership. Realistically (even in high rent areas of the country), should be $300-$350 via a good experienced independent shop.

thats because it still holds warranty even if an independent shop installs them

Spring install around here can be done for $200, so add an alignment and itll easily be under $530. I'd avoid the dealership for a quick spring install/alignment, plenty of others can do this without problems, it's fairly simple.

Here in Canada, I was quoted just under $800 for the springs with install. An alignment would then needed to be added on top. So instead I bought the springs from the dealer for $220 and am getting an independent shop to do the install. After everything it should work out to almost $300 in savings by not going to the dealer.

Sounds about right from dealer... If you want longer warranty get installed at dealer. Well that depends on how old ur car is.

dont fall for it. dealership prices are a ripoff. Average price for spring install plus alignment should be no more than $300 average. Get it done a reputable shop n you will not have a problem. Should take more more than 1-2 hrs for the entire job plus alignment.

I hear ya.. I haven't inquired about F sport springs, but I inquired (today actually) about the install for the F-sport rear sway bar (just for ****s and giggles) and they quoted me 2 hours............for an f-sport rear sway bar install (I even confirmed that it was for the one bar). Needless to say I burst out laughing. Highway robbery at its finest at Canadian lexus dealers.

What a joke! Dealers always try and Jack people! 4 hours? 1 hour per wheel. That's crazy. Take it to a good shop and get an alignment where you find the best price.

Never get aftermarket parts installed at the dealership, unless you enjoy being parted from your money. Ask around and find a trusted tuner shop.

I am looking onto the F sport springs for my 2007 is250 X pkg. I have been told that the catalog calls for the PTR07-53080. But there have been posts about those being recalled for a clunking noise problem and were replaced with the PTR07-53090 springs. The dealer said that part # is actually the application for the convertible. But the convertble should take the 53100. So what is the right spring? cause I have a set of the 53080 in box not installed yet..
