Default '09-10 Grilles fit '11?

I'm looking at the possibility of using a 2010 F-Sport edition grille in my 2011, but I'm curious about them fitting. I know the grille surround changed for 2011, but what about the grille fitment aside from that?

Anyone tried yet? I know the 11's are pretty new still, but I was just curious.

This may be a question for Sewell Lexus. Only a few have the 11' here and don't know if anyone has done that swap. Good luck.

I'm almost positive it will not. I believe the 2011 fsport grill is a little bit different shape =\

I want to put the 2010 F-Sport grille on a 2011, not a 2011 F-Sport grille, but if you are correct it would be the same problem I guess.

The more I look at pics the more similar the 2010 F-Sport and 2011 F-Sport grilles look. I guess if I want one, I'll just order the 2011 one.

Thread over I guess, haha.

Yeah what's the use in getting the 2010, if there's 2011 which look identical. Also easier to get.

Well, from the few pics I had seen of the 2010 grille, it looked more subtle, but now that I've seen more pics of it, it actually looks almost identical to the 2011 grille. Still not sure what to do, lol. I feel this way about everything I want to do on my 2011. It seems like there are 2 choices on everything I consider changing.

Get the 2011, it's available in the US. The 2009-2010 was called the F version, which was available in Japan, and remember it was available as an option in Lexus Canada website, not very sure though. The point is, the 2011 is much easier to get.

EDIT: oh you're from Canada, I don't know lol.

Actually the 2010 was also called the F-Sport. It was offered in various countries, including Canada. I can get the grille easily enough, but yeah... if I want it I'll just order the 2011 one.

I'm contemplating how much of the F-Sport package I want to add to my 2011. I have a 6MT which was obviously not available with the F-Sport stuff. I'm considering the front spoiler pieces and grille, but don't know about which rear spoiler to get (IS-F/F-Sport or the Accessory one). I can't make up my mind about anything at all.

Anyways, thanks for the help.

the only way is to put it side by side and look at the diff. If it almost the same with a lil custom work you can make it .

Didn't the US 2010 F-sport grille only fit the vert?

Historically speaking, with the IS series at least, although grilles may look the same they aren't the same dimensions. IIRC 06-08 sedan is different from 09-10 sedan which is different from 2010+ vert models

I remember someone on here trying to put a vert bumper on his sedan and had a hard time sourcing the vert grille to make it happen.

Hey Jeff...we're pretty much in the same boat. I just picked up a 2011 IS350 on Thursday and really wanted the F-Sport grille to be my first mod. I even created a thread on it and just stumbled on your posting. I heard from Sewell that unfortunately, we are out of luck, as the F-Sport grille will not fit the 2011 non-F-Sport bumper due to a difference in the size of the grille surround. So strange since the bumper for the F-Sport and non-F-Sport seem identical, disregarding the front lip spoiler. I'm waiting for confirmation on this from another source as well, but I guess I'm in denial since I really wanted this grille! Here's what my car looks like, along with a Photoshop of what it could look like if the F-Sport grille were to actually fit.

While I'm not one to question Sewell's knowledge on it, it seems to me that it could work, provided you also order the grille surround. I haven't taken one apart before, but that would seem most likely to me.

I'll probably order it and try it anyways.
