IS250 - How slow is it?
#16
You say it's your friends car that you have known for a while and if it were me, I'd rather buy from him than a stranger. If he's that close to you, he wouldn't sell you a car that's been beat. With the others you never know what happened to them. You have your fast car and you're looking for luxury. There you have it. And from a trusted friend at that!

Part of why this is attractive is because it's low stress:
- There's no problem getting a loan for this small amount (when looking at it from a bank's view it's small)
- This friend always has had great cars and taken care of them.

I came from a scion tc, and when i test drove the 250.. I was thinking to myself" is this really an upgrade from a tc speedwise??!" the answer was HELL NO! get the 350, or you're gonna cry later on. Like acingteam said.. the price difference in a used 350 and a 250 is not much different..(2-3g apart)

I went from a 2005 Evo 8 to an 2008 IS250 AWD. At first I was fine and loved the luxury compared to the Evo. Then the luxury and niceness wore off real quick and I realized that instead of being faster than 95% of the cars on the road, 95% of the cars on the road were now faster than me. I traded it in after only 11 months, yes I bought the car new, and traded it in for a 2008 IS350. I'm extremely satisfied now that I have luxury, comfort, and power! You don't realize how much you miss power until you don't have it.

Yeah wealthy people dont spend a whole lot on their daily drivers lol, but for every one of their Camry's and Accords they have at least 2 Ferrari's in the garage to make up for it.
I dont know what you mean 250 by slow, 90% of the cars are on the road are slower than the 250. I can hit the speed limit in 5 - 6 seconds, I can cruise at 70, speed to 80 in like 1 sec to over take. 250 is not for street racing if thats what you mean.
I like to have my 250 as a daily driver, nice, stylish and preppy. For speed and sheer excitement, I got something very nice in mind to get
