honest answer its pathetic slow unless your my mom or grandmother then you would hate it, I test drove one before i bought my 350 and a civic is faster.
its kinda sad that you try to even mod a is250 unless its all show, cause civics will be faster than you.
I seen a few at the track running 16s modded , its sad.....

why the hell would you buy a lexus Is to "GO FAST" hell thats what evos/sti's are for (in the same price range/class)
its a small compact entry level luxury car.
btw, i highly doubt a base model civic is faster than a 250. i know you drive a 350 but get a hold of yourself. you sound ridiculous.

I've driven both and much prefer very quick vs. just adequate. The last car I sold was quick too (Porsche Boxster S), but slower than the IS350.
I selected the right IS accordingly.

Sorry but a Civic is faster than a 250.

If you just need to pass someone on the highway, I think the power is enough for the IS250. It's not like you're expecting to race anyone.

Well I live in the Cincinnati metropolitan area with a population of about 2,155,137. I drive around the city every day and my dealer is down town. I've only seen ONE isF ever. So I'm not sure how many people you actually think are buying F's but by my calculations, 1 out of every 2 million people or so in my area. With that said, 250's and 350's...I see a handful every day and far more of the RX's than anything. If you want a ISF from my dealer, you better be the only person wanting one out of 2 million. And from what I have seen...you probably would be. They've had one F on the floor that they've been swapping out for the newer year model for years.
Again...F's are over rated and frequently over exaggerated.
Just my opinion and experience.

hahaha well said. I've seen a tuned Civic beat a Dodge Viper before, but it was still a Honda at the end of the day...so I'm not exactly sure what the whole point of this is.
In MY humble opinion...it's not fast you get there, it's how awesome you look arriving haha.
Whether you choose a 250 or 350...it's a Lexus and I love this car maker personally. Kudos whichever way you go...

But honestly, I hate this honda vs. Lexus vs. bmw vs. whoever stuff. I'm starting to feel like this is a Chevy/ford debate.
But we all know that Chevys will always be better than Fords....and Lexus, well.....pfft....'nuff said.

If you don't race anyone doesn't automatically mean no one put their car to its full potential. I use every bit of my horsepower everyday. From freeway on ramp to passing another car. I also take my car to the drag strip.

Not even the AWD is slower.
By your account your 350 is faster than a GTR too huh?

Why does it matter if there is a ton of Civics? Not like a IS is anything unique. I see it everyday being driven by old women all day.

Doesn't change the fact that the is250 WILL beat MOST of the civics out on the road which is directly opposite of what you said.
