Double DIN headunit pics?
Hey there, def don't like the stock radios in these cars..
Anyone have pics of their double din units installed in their 250/350's?
I have this radio ..
AVH-P4200DVD
http://www.google.com/images?q=AVH-P...w=1138&bih=564
and would love to put it in a 250 if I end up buying it.
How much work is this?

I thought about it and decided no because of all the work needed to retrofit. the A/C controls are with the radio. That's the problem. I bought the Fly Audio Head unit ( retails for about $1,500) and I like it.

search YouTube, there is a video on there. People have installed a double din radio down below where the cd slot is, but I think that's TOO low.

You'd either have to buy the OEM navigation and override to play dvd's or get the Fly Audio unit.

If you really have your heart set on replacing the head unit, then I would go with the Fly Audio unit. Otherwise, it would probably be best if you just upgrade the speakers, and add a sub and amp.
