Have an 07 IS250 (as if you didnt know that with my other thread)...

It has the regular radio (which I prefer over the gps one) however when I hit the AM-SAT button, only am comes on. I assume there's some kind of upgrade module that it needs...any ideas ? I'm a pretty technical person, have redone both of my other car's stereos from top to bottom.

buy the tuner from sewells for $375 and install it in your trunk. very easy.

I don't see directions there, but I'd guess that aftermarket kit on ebay requires taking the dash apart (and possibly running your own antenna)

The OEM Lexus kit from sewell just plugs into the trunk and works like factory with the shark fin (since it's the same parts they'd use at the factory), don't have to touch the dash at all.
