that sounds pretty fair IMO.

the tires alone can cost that... tires that are much more extreme in size cost way more that average sized wheels. The stock rubber would've run you close to $1,000 to replace on it's own.

I can't say whether or not that sounds crazy without knowing what kind of tires they are.

^ Exactly. If they were PS2's, great deal, if there were some cheap brand, not so much.

Sounds crazy but I agree with others that depends on what tires are you putting on; and why do they have to program the TPMS? (Unless you are installing a new set of TPMS)

tire rack..get quote plus shipping
Use their 'find local installer'
Call local installer
ask them how much they charge
add that amount to the tire rack quote
Is it less than $1500? If so, then yes its cheaper.

all firestones (as with most shops) include mounting and balancing with the purchase of the tires from the shop. they may or may not charge extra for TPMS programming. Your best bet is to go on tirerack and see how much the tires you're looking at are and you should be able to get them for about the same price at a firestone.

I personally bought four bridgestone re960's for my car from them with for less than the price of tirerack with mounting and balancing included. they're stock wheels so TPMS didn't need to be programmed. shop around.

hmm, try goin to a different firestone or even a different shop altogether. they're definitely trying to scam you. those sensors have huge mark up on them.

^you do not need new sensors unless there is something wrong with yours. there will be an install/tpms charge, but you do not have to buy a new set of tpms sensors for new tires.

Considering "Bridgestone" makes 50+ types of tires (All the way up to and including those for a 747), that piece of information is pretty useless.

Care to get just a little more specific?

BTW, I always get Firestone to price match Tire Rack. Always helps to keep your money local to the community you live in when you can....
