Hello! i just purchased a used 2007 is250 that's MANUAL
Boy do i have to say it was a hard find haha It also has a 3year/100k Mile warranty! Because i bought it from a dealer!

I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced any problems with the 6speed and have any recommendations on what to look out for and do to keep it in tip top condition!

 

Not to scare u but my 06 6 speed got bot back due to transsmission problems... but I do I miss it alot. Use ur warrenty as much as u can..

Oh What happen to your 6speed? why did you have to send it back?

 

The auto is also a 6-speed. Call it a manual or something, haha.

In any case, I like mine quite a bit. Going to install the F-Sport Quickshifter for it, I've heard good things.

Ive also seen fourms about the F-sport clutch haha

 

the only issue I ever saw with is250's in general was the gas pedal not working. You press it and nothing happens

 

No problems with my MT for me. I've had it for 4 years already and I still enjoy it!!!

 

The only problem was noisy transmission in 1st and 2nd gear. But you will forget it soon. Other than that.... Nah...

 

Oh, i love the Manual lexus so far :]

Where would i go to buy a short shifter? do i just hit the lexus dealer? haha

 

The only recommendation I have is to install the F Sport short shifter. I have one and it reduced the throw by a lot. It still doesn't compare to my Honda and Acura with a short shifter, but it's better. Welcome. Try Sewell Lexus, one of the vendors on here for cheap OEM parts. Register with them as a CL member and get more of a discount.

 

cup holder placement is the worst. try shifting with a to go cup with straw. you'll know what i mean.
