i wouldnt mod a leased car too much that you couldnt return to stock. if anything id have it vinyl wrapped so you can at least remove it before the lease is up.

Paint it, then sell/replace it.

vinyl I vinyled mine gloss black and nobody could tell the difference. Plus, i had minimal chipping/wear and I drive freeways 90% of the time ^_^

And it's being removed today, because I'm trading in my car tomorrow I'd say vinyl is the best bet-- easily removed and no harm done!

would a tint shop be able to match? or does a certain online store sell starfire matched vinyl?

I think white vinyl will be noticeable, not too sure though.

^^ Oohh....good question.... not sure about the paint matching. If you want it to be an exact match, then you'd probably have to just paint it....

The vinyl on mine is Oracal, they may have a color that's close...but..doubt it would be exact...

think i would go with a vinyl, if anything. painting is too much of a hassle for the lease.

if i cant find an exact starfire vinyl on aerotect, or the likes, then ill just see what my tint shop says when i go in for tinting next week. going to have them install redouts and fog vinyls too.

i doubt you'll find color matched vinyl. even if you use a white thats "close" it will be very noticeably off.

I think you guys are right. I just picked up some plasti-dip. Going to do the front "L" and call it a day. (And the rear emblems, of course)

If I have some extra plast-dip, then ill do the grille surround for kicks. Have a strong feeling that I will not like it. 09+ grilles plasti-dipped on non-black cars doesn't look too clean.

If you have an extra $223.50, you can buy a color matched one from Sewell. Then when your lease is up, sell it in the CL classifieds and put your chrome one back on.
