My car just pasted 80k on the odometer and the bearing on my waterpump failed. I ordered the A1 Cardone Reman Waterpump 571664 from RockAuto (A++ Price and Service) and installed it last night. I would have created a DIY thread but it was too cold for me to be taking extra time to take pictures. Installation was fairly easy, but I wanted to review the A1 Cardone product for anyone in the future as more people have their ISs hit higher mileage.
The reman water pump comes with a new gasket and o-ring. However, when they rebuild the pump they mediablast the waterpump casting, including machined o-ring and gasket surfaces.
You MUST use waterpump RTV sealant to ensure no leakage.
With this known, the unit is a good, cheap alternative to going to the dealer.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
