Wow, glad nothing happened to you! Same question, were these v1 or v2? Size of spacer?

I've read Ichibas were not as good quality as Fic or Project Kics. Maybe you'll have better luck with those.

Wow that doesn't look good at all. What spec were they torqued at? 76ft/lbs or more? I've had rotors warp from a shop over tightening my wheels. Hence never again, self torque now.

Ya you gotta be careful about over torqueing the bolts. Idk. Thank god you found them before they found you.

H&R spacers are the best. They are the top spacer that everyone in the VW scene who wants quality uses. I had a set myself on my old VW. Made in Germany to

Wow bro perfect timing and GL! I have H&R with long studs and let me tell you after 3 years they still look as shiny as the first day.

Spacers were never the best idea. Usually it is best to get the correct wheel specs and avoid adding spacers. Afterall, spacers are just an extension and presents an opportunity for stress points. I would also question the quality of certain spacers, the quality and construction, as well as how well-engineering they are to be 100% flat as I heard low grade spacers induce vibrations and whatnot.

Good to hear nothing bad happened and you discovered the problem prior to any accident. Take care =)

thats pretty serious, i was gonna sell my h&r with exteneded studs for V2's with built in studs. extended studs would be way better cuz your wheel will still stay on if the spacers cracked completely. i guess me taking the extra time to swap studs was totally worth it.

I had 25 mm spacers on my previous ride, a GS400. Although the car looked fantastic with them on, I started hearing strange whirring noises from the rear. It started very subtle, then got louder and louder as weeks passed on. Eventually, I couldn't take the noticeable noise anymore, and found out one of my rear wheel bearings had to be replaced b/c of the extra stress on the wheels! To say it was a headache would be an understatement, as each mechanic I talked to said it was a different reason I was getting loud noises from my suspension.

Ever since then, I am doing lots o research trying to find the best spacers for my car to avoid such a situation again.. Problem with being a car nut is everything noise is sometimes noticeable.. :P But your guys' expertise on the matter is definitely well heeded!

Thanks.
