Default HELP. IS350 Sound Issue

Just purchased a used 2007 IS350 and I can't get any music out of the speakers. The system beeps when I touch the NAV screen but not music... I can change source, aux input, cd, FM AM etc and see then volume going up but no sound. I checked the Fuses in the cabin and under the hood and they were fine. I'm thinking it might be the amp? Where do the BEEPS come from when selecting buttons on the NAV screen? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

um a super simplistic answer would be if you accidentally bumped the volume control **** thus shutting down the audio. i highly doubt thats what happened but its worth a shot

Did the audio ever work for you, or has it been this way since you bought the car?

I'm not an expert in the car, but it does sound like your amp is not on or getting power. Have you checked the fuse or the amp itself to see if it's on?

Joe, I've toggled the on off button and still nothing... Steve, It has been that way since i purchased the car. It was the only problem so I figured I could fiddle around with it. I pulled up the panel in the trunk to look at the amp... but i'm not sure how to tell if it's powered on or not...

Sounds like the amp, but here is the TSB audio diag Lexus uses:

Are there any CD's in the changer? I had a bad CD once that messed up my system and wouldn't allow any sound to come out...it was a CD that I had made..had to remove the cd, shut the car off, turn it back on and the sound worked again...just an idea for you...
