Default Usage question: How to turn engine off, but leave car "on"

I find that many times I'm finishing up a phone conversation (on the bluetooth) or even just a song I like on the radio when I am ready to leave my car. I want to shut my engine off, but leave the auxiliary power on. Easy to do with a key, not so easy with the push button start! Any tricks to make this work?

foot off brake, push button once, or twice if you want more on.

I don't think that will work for this scenario since the car is going from running to off back to on, he will probably lose his call on the bluetooth.

But this is a good question, wonder if there is really a way.

You turn your car off (by pressing the push button like usual) while the car is in neutral, then just shift into park.

Sounds like a plan... engine off while in D or N, then shift to P.
