Default Powdercoated factory wheels & new rubber

Installed Yoko Avid Envigor with the 45K treadlife warranty & got factory wheels blacked out. Tires have softer sidewalls and the ride is great. Now I need to get the toe zeroed out in front to keep the inner tread alive for 45K miles. Also, need to blacken the lugnuts, valve stems & caps. The powdercoater still has the center caps they should be done in a couple of days.
Thanks to potatosink for hooking up the wheels.

looks very nice, however i have noticed in my area, the powercoat guys want around $150 per wheel--that is almost as much as a new set of wheels!

How much did you pay? I was thinking this too. But I got no spare wheels. Did the shop you used take care the tires installation after they had been painted?

$150/rim is crazy IMO. Some guys out here will do $100/wheel with mounting your tires on a temp set of wheels so you don't have any down time.

Thanks for the compliments

Hey man, it's your local gym stalker (havent seen you around either haha) I have my stockers tires/rims if you decide to do it and need to swap while yours are being taken care of. PM/text me about if you get serious.

Purchased an extra set of 18" 2006 IS wheels from potatosink here on CL. Had the tires removed and dropped the rims off at the powdercoater. 3 days later picked up the rims from the powdercoater and dropped them off at the tire shop. Had the wife drive the car to the tire shop on her lunch break to get the TPMS moved over to the powdercoated 06 wheels and new Yoko tires mounted. Wife had no idea until they drove the car around. She was so happy she cried and I got a nice duck sicking

Lots of cost, labor and seat time to get this done compared to buying new wheels, but it was the only way to have 0 down time.

Now I have an extra set of gunmetal 2008 IS250 wheels with a lil curb rash on the fronts.

No plans on painting the calipers at this time. I am inspired to black out all chrome trim though.

This is great. I don't mind whoaring out the spare set of tires&wheels to local members here so they can do something like this. Noticed I typed whoare out meaning I'm the pimp and gots to get paid, a deposit...something

Ha i was going more on a free note, as long as the rims come back un-curbed as they are now, and there wasnt a ton of mileage put on the tires. But cheaply renting them out isnt bad, just dont screw people over haha

I have heard of free, but I don't know what it is

Seriously not trying to bend anyone over as long as they aren't trying to bend me over
