Default Aftermarket Systems?

Hey guys ive tried searching but didnt get answers to my specific questions. So im about to add JL sub and JL amp to my car. How are you guys going about adding aftermarket systems to your cars? Are you running the wires thru the whole car to the front deck? are you just tapping into the rear speaker? And are you guys disabling the stock sub?

I added a sub and amp to mines.. let me know what u need. to get audio signal for the sub, you tap into the rear amp should be the wires farthest, closest to the end. i left my stock sub connected

I'm running a JL Audio 12W6V2 with a JL Audio 500/1. Disabled stock sub and am running it all the way to the head unit.

I tapped into the ML amp.

My new Kenwood Amp controls my BMF 12"s and the ML Amp controls the cars speakers
Disconnected the ML sub (cuz I blew it haha)

So ive been reading and trying to learn how to hook up my sub and amp. Not as easy as it was back when i had an integra lol. Anyway, I see in the linked thread above that the ML guys tapped into the front door woofers. Is this because they have ML? In my case, a non-ML, would it still be beneficial sound wise to do that? or would tapping just into the stock sub sound just as good?

its easiest just to tap signal from the factoy sub with an LOC, i did mine and a few other members this way and we all ended up happy.

Its definitly different than integra's and civic's, when I did mine I had to buy the LOC.. that was TONS of fun!!
