Did you mount the intake to the rubber screw as yet? If so, that should enable you to properly align the intake to connect with the hose.

I attached the intake to the throttle body, and i still dont see any possible way that hose could fit to that inlet. i can get it all the way on but it just slides off, even with the clamp on.

am i missing some part? i bought this off a CL member.

different question, how bad would it be to drive without it bolted down and without the vacum hose attached? i was gonna drive it over to my dads shop and let them deal with it.

I wouldn't recommend it... it only takes 2 mins to put the stock back on.

I cant think of any other possible reason for it not to fit other than you buying the wrong intake.

everything "fits" i got it bolted down and everything lined up better. the hose i can get all the way on and it will stay for a few seconds then slide off. So i really just need something to help it stay.

You're supposed to have a 3-5 cm rubber piece that mounts the intake upwards. This rubber piece screws directly into where you're referring to as "electrical piece" in the first pic.

What did the CL member include in the shipment?

I would imagine driving with out the vac hose attached would make the check engine light come on. Not sure I would be willing to drive it like that. Maybe put the origional one back on and then take it to the shop?

If you don't have this, your intake will be somewhat unstable and improperly aligned thus, the reason your vacuum hose slips off. Try looking at your local parts store.

i dont have that, but i have the intake hella tight. i just got a longer blot and tightened it down, then i double clamped where the throtle body is, then just got a new clamp for the vac hose. everything is tight and runs great.
