I HAD to get the 350... that was mandatory for me

250 is a nice little car, cheap, not too fast.

Probably cuz all the lexus drivers I see are old Asians haha

for me it was the design of the car. Since the IS250 and IS350 share the same body style, no point in spending more to go faster in LA traffic. The IS250 is plenty fast for DD. Plus 99% of the population could probably not tell the difference between the two car anyways and probably don't care if one is faster then the other.

Now if the IS350 had the ISF body with the 300 hp, I would have went for that instead.

Originally, I wanted the IS250 with manual. I drove a used one and liked it a lot. Based on information on this and other Lexus forums, the consensus was the IS 350 was the better value. I would have preferred the manual transmission. After looking for six months, it was just a matter of finding the right new IS 350. My local dealer had the car I purchased, 2011 IS 350 F Sport. It was the right exterior and interior colors and the right options. The F Sport was a added plus. The dealer also had a used 2008 IS-F in USB and it was tempting for about the same money. I decided I didn't need a IS-F for a daily driver. I'm very happy with my choice. I've adjusted to the automatic, it's effortless.

Here's why I bought a 2007 250 awd

- 17.5k with 52k miles
- AWD is huge for me
- It has MORE than enough power (90% of the cars on the highway around me are hondas with 85 hp)
- If I want to go beat some 350's or F's I have a vert camaro ss sitting in the driveway :P
- It's a lexus, not a sports car
- I want as much gas mileage as possible
- Nobody cares that it's a 250 vs 350 other than people on this board lol.

I know the 350 has mucho more power I would never skimp, any car I buy would be ***** out top notch ... Otherwise I would buy a low end vehicle with all the options and save 20 grand ...

just a random thought sitting here i'd like to hear yur thought questions comments conernc ... feel free to be honest and not care about what others say, i sure dont!

I personaly did not get a 350 for two reasons.

1. I wanted a stick, I can't stand driving an automatic.

2. If I want to go fast that's what I have my Integra for. (She's down right now untill I finish my Hondata upgrade )

I got mine for $43K OTD... did you purchase F-Sport accessories? That seems rather high... the sticker price for mine was $46K.
