Exclamation Question abou hid headlights.

I purchased my 07 IS250 used and I know that it has HID's but im not sure if it is an aftermarket kit or OEM. How do I tell the difference?

If you have an AFS light, you have factory HID. Aftermarket HID's don't have AFS or leveling.

I haven't take the headlight out, but I was wondering if there's a simple way to tell if a headlight has the afs function.

Like the people above said, if you have an AFS light, you have AFS.

If your headlights go up then down (auto-leveling) when you start the car with the lights on, you have AFS.

If you drive around at night and your lights swivel left and right as you go through corners, you have AFS.

If you check your VIN number in a database and it says you have AFS, you have AFS.

Sorry I should have been clear. I have AFS headlights equipped in my is250, I found a person locally selling a set for a pretty reasonable price.

I'd like to know how to distinguish the afs headlights from non afs headlights. I'm considering purchasing an extra set if they are afs.

thanks
