I only exp the idle creep when it is real cold outside (less than 30f), otherwise it hovers around 500-600

A few reasons are mentioned in the nearly 20 page long thread on warming up the car... a few examples:

Excessive idling can actually damage your engine components, including cylinders, spark plugs, and exhaust systems. Fuel is only partially combusted when idling because an engine does not operate at its peak temperature. This leads to the build up of fuel residues on cylinder walls that can damage engine components and increase fuel consumption.

All the humidity in the engine condenses on the sides of the engine and the organic acids in the blowby dissolve into the water. The water then drips down the sides of the block and sits on top of the engine oil. The acids in the water attack the oil and cause it to sludge and break down prematurely.

You are FAR better off to just drive the car and get the oil fully heated and move some air through the engine (via the PCV system) to clear out the water and acids as quickly as possible. Or suffer sludging and corrosion. It's entirely up to you.

Today was like -5 out when I woke up for work. I hooped in my car, push start, 15sec later I'm off. Five minutes down the road and she all warmed up. If I let my car sit for 10min I'll be at work by then haha....
