Default Garax 6K

Guys im planning on buy new HID's for my car and i have decided to go with Garax. I really wanted to get the phillips 5K but its a lil steep for me. I wanted to know if we have any member specials or anything like that. Looking to save some money for other projects.

Car Light Trends sells them, and sometimes they offer free shipping for CL members. Search "Garax" in the vendor directory. It's 6000K, not 6K, btw.

The K is not kilo (lowercase k) as in 1000, but Kelvin (uppercase K), which is a unit of measurement for temperature.
So I guess it could also be written as 6kK.

I usually mix that up with small and bit K lol!

You may find the Garax a bit dark (I have the Garax 8K) such that rain/streetlamps the beam gets challenging to distinguish your own beam unless you turn off your headlights at times, but if you could spend more to get the Philips Ultinon 5000k then great because their lumen's output is greater. I personally ordered the Ultinon 6000k a few days ago and on its way.

Still wrong, the K in 6000K is capitalized.

I've compared 6000K Garax to 6000K Philips Ultinon in person and honestly I couldn't tell the difference. If you're worried about brightness, get 4300K Philips 85122+ D4S bulbs. Better yet, retro better projectors into your headlights.

Have a look at this thread here since I was also inquiring before I made the decision to order 6000K.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...installed.html

I had recieved a few PMs from a few members who where former Garax owners and they said the Philips is better.

Well, there's not much difference between those two. The difference between OEM 4100K and 6000K is pretty significant though, but I can still see just fine.

If you're on a $1,000 budget, definitely go with Garax over Philips. Your money could be spent better elsewhere.

I got the Garax 8000K. It lit the road fine, I like them so far. Im gonna get 6000k just to have them in, incase of a blow out. Wishful thinking I guess.

The Garax 8000K looks great when it's pitch black. As I mentioned, I only found them a bit dim when there is a street lamp or rain.

My friend even complained they are too bright lol.. it's like really?
