Default Interior swap help

So, I am doing a silver for wood interior swap with another member and I ran into a small problem. Everything hooks up just fine 1 for 1 until I tried to do the side view mirror control. As you can see from the image below the connector on mine seems to be different then the other one and won't plug in. The number of pins are the same just the connector doesn't line up. I have a 08 IS 350 and the guy I did the swap with has a 07 IS250. Do you think his had some sort of converter/pig tail/dongle to do this or is it just completely not interchangeable?

If someone has any pictures of the back of their silver trim connector (wish I would of taken a picture before I sent it off), or has wood trim and could take a picture of their cable I would appreciate any help.

Thank you

Do you have memory seats or the auto dim/tilt mirrors?

Why don't you just swap the connectors out? It's really easy.

Forget swapping the connectors, just use your old switch.

^ Yup, that's what I meant. When you remove the trim piece the connector to the switch is still screwed to it, just unscrew it and swap to the other trim piece. Easy peasy.

I think in another thread he was saying they're different shapes.

^ If he's swapping an '07 with an '08 they're the same overall shape (how they fit into the trim), it's just the connectors that are different. You just have to swap the connectors/switches.
