Drilling holes for a trunk spoiler install is totally unnecessary. Pry the bolts out, smother it with 3M double-sided tape, and align/stick it on. Call it a day.

Yeah, you have to make four holes to install your spoiler. I got my spoiler from ebay (OEM) and I drilled all 4 holes using a system that they provide me with. However, I didn't realize that my spoiler was about 3 mm off and now it bugs me but I think no one else can tell but me!

Anyway, if you can't drill holes I would suggest that you get it installed by a professional. I would hate to have a huge scratch because I messed up while drilling a hole. lol.

I just used double sided tape on mine with plenty of adhesion promoter and heat. Looks drilled on. Very tight tolerances. Been on for almost two years through snow sleet rain hot summer days, etc with no signs of giving out. Am I worried about someone ripping it off? Not really. I'm more worried about somebody breaking into the car to rifle through the glove compartment.

It's better to drill it. You wouldn't have to worry about people messing with you if you used the double sided tape.

My roof spoiler and oem trunk spoiler are just on with tape. its been on for about a year and haven't had any issues with car washes. I bought some painted spoilers off ebay for my breakwater blue IS and the paint was damn near perfect. Good fit to for 175$ painted and shipped

Get it installed properly at the dealer. After a year of heat/cold and many washes I can see the double sided tape coming off a bit on the tip.
