Playa Del Rey is correct. Like the area for taking pictures because no one is ever around. As for the rattles im glad im not the only one experiencing them. And the materials are the same quality as the other newer Lexus models, which isn't saying much. My 2001 IS300 had 150,000 miles when I sold it and not a single rattle. Parents still have some of their older model Lexus and they don't have any rattles. My GS430 doesn't rattle and its at 114K. It seems like 06-07 is when the quality started dropping. My mom got a CL550 a while back and everything about the car screams quality. I know Mercedes had a period where they went downhill, but it seems they have pulled themselves out of that hole. Maybe Lexus is experiencing the same thing and will hopefully soon pull themselves out of the hole their in.

I'm at 10,000 miles on my 2010 IS250... Not a single rattle, ever.
I think 90% of the rattles come from modifications that push the car outside of tested spec. Not Lexus' fault.

My car is still stock and it has dash rattles.
About the rear rattle, check to see if the cover for the rear brake light is loose. They may have loosened it when the windows were tinted and then didn't tighten it back down.

The interesting thing is that the IS250 AWD I test drove before ordering my car had the same dash rattle. I thought it must have been someone abusing the car (had 8,000km on it), but low and behold, mine did the same thing. That's weak, haha.

I noticed you're in Canada, I guess in theory super cold temps could cause some slight amount of stiffening of materials. I would expect more rattles in climates that get hot in summer (expand materials that later contract slightly). The summers can get pretty hot here, although I did put good quality tint on my car to help with that issue and luckily still no rattles whatsoever.

Temperature would definitely affect it, but it happens at all temperatures. I think my rattles are easy to fix and fairly minor. I know some of the older 2IS's had more problems. I'm hoping with the TSB's released, etc, mine should be updated to fix those.
My IS250 was made at the Toyota Motor Kyushu, Inc. - Miyata Plant.
I was using Google satellite to view the factory then went to street view. There's a stupid hill in the way the entire time, but I did come across this. (No IS on the truck, but still cool, haha).
