Like the tittle says!! I have been trying to get the XM satellite receiver and the mounting kit from every OEM parts vendor on here, like sewell and carson toyota and it seems like this kit is not longer available for the '06 to '08 IS that came prewire from factory
.
Does anyone know a place that still might have some of them hanging around?

This ay be a stupid question, but is there a Sirius one? Sirius bought XM and as a result I think the sirius equipment more likely to prove a better investment since it will presumably be the stuff they use going forward. I also think the content on Sirius is more robust as a result of the merger.

Do you know what the part number is? Is it 86180-0W032? If so, try ordering it from Canada, there is lots of stock up here.
EDIT: Looks like you need 86180-0W032 (receiver) and 86100-0W150 (fit kit). Looks like 86100-0W150 is discontinued up here in Canada too...
Not sure if all installations require the fit kit though. Don't 2007+ already have the sat antenna on the roof, so maybe you only need it for '06 models?

Lexus briefly had a Sirius unit for the 2IS, but it sucked.
The XM one is plug and play in the trunk, takes like an hour to install and nearly all of that is just removing and replacing the panels inside the trunk.
The Sirius one installs under the passenger front seat and requires running wires and taking apart the dash and using an entirely add-on antenna.
Not sure exactly what parts were in the fit kit, but if it's just like bolts and wire ties and such you can probably make something yourself at a hardware store.

This appears to show the contents of the fit kit...
item #1 sounds like the big deal there... and it has its own part number inside the kit...82372-0w070
Ideally you could see if Sewell or anyone can get just that part (or if there's any new/alternate part for that cable), as everything else in there looks like it could be replaced with hardware store parts for like $5... (though the bracket itself has a part #, so might see if they can get that specific part too to save having to adapt a generic bracket)
Failing that you'd be down to checking junkyards for the part # on the cable...
A last resort I guess would be trying to make one, assuming the wiring diagram is available via TIS.... but I find it hard to buy that Lexus won't have anything available for at least just the cable for warranty repairs at least.

I was trying to get this installed myself, and my dealer spent a day trying to find the parts anywhere possible, but were unable to do so.
They recommended a local car stereo shop they use and the shop is going to install an aftermarket satellite radio (using a VAIS adapter) for me tomorrow. VAIS offers a sharkfin adapter so at least I can use the Lexus-provided satellite antenna. Not an optimal solution, but much better than having a regular satellite unit in the car.

from what Jeff Lange was saying the tuner for the 2IS still has availability (In Canada anyway)... the problem is the wiring harness to connect the tuner to the plugs in the trunk, which is apparently discontinued, and not available even to dealers other than for warranty work.
Whole thing strikes me as odd as Toyota usually has legendarily long availability of parts... (My wife was still able to get stuff for her Supra up through when she sold it last year, and that thing hadn't been made since long before there even was an IS)
