If you mean ticking like the noise a diesel makes it's never going away- that's what direct injection sounds like when it's working properly.

Is the ticking comming from the outside? If it is, then its probably from the direct injection from the outside which is normal.

i've had my '10 is250 for about 15 months and 10kmi, it still ticks like day one....those guys are right, all it is is your direct injection so don't sweat it your car is fine.

You'll come to like the ticking as time goes on. It's trademark Lexus and a symbol of modern technology at work. Many higher end vehicles make similar noise. I remember being at a Taste of Lexus event when all the cars were rounded up at the end of the day. It was a true symphony!

I remember the first time I heard the ticking sound. I was like WTF is wrong with mt new car! Lol but then my mechanic uncle told me it was the injectors lol. Sounds similar to when my old mustang had a gasket bad for the exhaust. The dealer told you it would go away? Hope it wasn't a mechanic that told you that. Either way still bad that who ever didn't kno that.

Then you need to follow the opposite advice and turn the radio down

The only 2IS that won't have the constant ticking of direct injectors is the one they sell in the middle east that doesn't use direct injection
