How to uninstall and reinstall a 2009-2010 IS X50 Grille Surrounding and Insert.

How to uninstall and reinstall a 2009-2010 IS X50 Grille Surrounding and Insert.
Some hints on how to take off your grille with out taking down your bumper at all.
1. Do all the usual clips to take the engine cover.
2. Take the 4 black round clips from the grille top each corner has 2 of them.
3. Take the 10mm bolt from the middle of the grille top.
5. Take about 10 of the black clips that hold down the black rubber gasket (careful but they easily come out with a small flat screwdriver.
6. Use a 10mm deep socket and take the 4 nuts that hold the grille surrounding(chrome) 2 on the top each side from behind and two on the very bottom each side.
DO NOT USE tools for these 4 nuts although they are metal nuts the the screw serves as a stud to the grill as the grill is plastic so do not use a tool to either take unscrew or screw them down after.
7. There are two plastic tabs chrome color on the inside that hold the entire grille with the chrome surrounding these are on the side behind the grille press those while pulling gently towards you. Do one side first and then the other. Pull from the middle of the front of the grille on one side until you see that is half way out. then do the other side the same way. once the top is out of the slot. pull firmly towards you from the bottom of the grille.
8. Take grille off with chrome part .
Viola!!!!!!
Now the insert off to follow.
9. There are 3 tabs on the top of the insert use a small flat screwdriver to loose those from the slot.
10. There are 4 tabs on the bottom do the samething.
That is it your grill insert is out.
Now replace and install back and Remember DO NOT use your 10mm rachet to screw in the 4 nuts around the grille.
Enjoy your new look and by the way take a minute to clean the area in between installing and reinstalling. It really gets dirty in there.
