Sucks for the car, but at least you're okay. Seatbelts are there for a reason.

Why you have to beg? I would let that ish go. When I totalled my first IS, I just asked them once and they said sure..lol I didn't have to beg. I parted it out though.

Damn sorry to hear that. Looks like you got off easy though for not wearing a seatbelt. Your lucky you didn't go through the front windshield! We all make mistakes though and sometimes we learn the hard way like this. Glad you walked away ok

good to hear you're ok, but it's always horrible to see an IS that way. i've also been victim of an accident with no seatbelt and breaking the windshield with my head, it is not a good feeling. have always worn my seatbelt since. so what's going to be the replacement vehicle??

whoa, glad to see you're feeling well enough to post on CL. Amazing how that front wheel held up without a scratch

Man, you are one of the luckiest people around!

On a related note, they should have built the IS as strong as your head.

Glad you're ok.

I just hate it when people see a wrecked car and assume the airbags should have gone off based on how much damage there is.

14 mph - head on - into a non moving barrier is the amount of force needed. Crashing into another car even at 20 mph may not set off the bags because the other car moves and also crumples - absorbing the impact.
Plus, air bag deploy without seatbelt being worn = very bad for the driver (poss death)
