Can a 350 be detuned?
#22
Well I could get a bit more power on the 250 but I'm still fine - I have to consider that I came from slower vehicle which my mom let me have her 95 Corolla at the time when she gotten herself a 99 Camry V6. That was slow but did not complain. Later on my dad gave me his 99 Camry Solara V6 when he gotten a 03 GS 300 (I preferred driving my mom's car instead, but ok fine! ).
Would the F-Sport exhaust give some HP boost for 250? I was told from the sales person said mentioned that it can give 10%, but I am doubtful if that is true. Can anyone clarify this?

if you get a new 350, it will learn how you drive over the first 1000 km and adjust its transmission accordingly (upshift quickly I'm guessing). If you baby it for a short period, you will find that the power is not that big a deal.
On the other hand, my wife drives my 350 RWD and loves the power. The only thing I could do without are her late stops.. haha

The Blitz Throttle Controller idea will not work - it does not provide an "econ" mode. The lowest setting is your normal throttle response.
To the OP - tuning (or "detuning") the IS350 engine would require an investment that I doubt you'd be willing to make (ref: HKS350's work). Short answer is "no".
